Poet's House is a large, renovated, 6 bedroom house on a hill 2km from the centre of Hobart with fabulous mid-century character, great views, and a large landscaped garden with flat areas for kids to play. This listing is for the entire house (accommodating up to 13) for your exclusive use.This is a large, 3 storey house with lots of character, built to architect design (and featured in Australian Home Beautiful magazine) in the late 1940s and renovated to preserve the 'mid-century modern' feel.
There are 3 bedrooms upstairs accommodating up to 6 (one in a smaller room) and a bathroom with double shower and toilet. And 3 bedrooms downstairs accommodating up to 6 with the second bathroom containing shower, bath and toilet. The views from the top bedrooms and from the living and dining areas are simply stunning and the lower master bedroom opens onto a deck and the large garden.
The house is very family friendly. Kids can unwind in a big rear garden with a central apple tree from the original orchard, but you should be aware that there are stairs and decks. It is also very adult friendly, with lots of living space and private nooks to find a quiet moment to enjoy the views or curl up with a good book and cuppa.
